Application Fee Waiver: All veterans receive an automatic application fee waiver from Penn Law. To receive a fee waiver coupon number to submit on LSAC, enter your service information and attach a DD-214 to the Service Recognition Fee Waiver Application prior to submitting your application.
Post-9/11 GI Bill: The current base Tuition and Fee payment for the Post-9/11 GI Bill for AY 2016-2017 is $21,970.46.
Yellow Ribbon Program: Penn Law is a generous supporter of the Yellow Ribbon Program. For an UNLIMITED number of student veterans, Penn Law provides $20,000 per academic year, which is matched by the VA for a total of $40,000 under this benefit. For 100% YRP eligible veterans, this brings the total academic Post-9/11 GI Bill benefit to $61,970.46.
Basic Allowance for Housing: The BAH rate for an E-5 with dependents in Philadelphia is $2,025. The VA pays this via direct deposit at the end of every month, pro-rated on months when school is not in session (eg: Winter Break).
Book Stipend: The VA provides a yearly $1,000 book stipend.
